Fake Homeless for Money – Don’t Quit Your Night Job #10 – Comedian Andrew Rivers
On this episode, I hit the streets to ask for money. I didn’t want to pretend to be homeless or scam artist people out of money. So I made a sign telling people I was a comedian and seeing if they’ll buy a CD. I also tried to do magic tricks.
I always wondered if the homeless people on the street are actually homeless or if there is good money in “flying a sign.” So I found a guy washing windows, interviewed him and took over his corner.
In an hour and a half, I got about $10, a lecture, blank stares. I got into a yelling match with a homeless guy about white privilege and recognized by my best friend’s ex wife. Not my most successful episode. I mostly just gave away a bunch of CD’s.
